I have worked as a trained therapist and registered social worker and have been in private practice for the past 15 years. I bring a rich and varied work history that involves over 21 years of work with children, youth and their families and over 11 years of work with adults and couples in a variety of different capacities… ranging from hospital based programs, children’s mental health agencies, women’s reproductive health clinics, community health centres and private practice. 

I have a Masters degree in Social Work from Wilfred Laurier University, a Bachelor of Social Work from Ryerson University and a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s Studies and Sociology from York University. I completed my early childhood education program at George Brown College in the early 1990’s.

A believer in life-long learning, I have completed post-graduate training in Couple and Family Therapy studies at the University of Guelph and have completed Sex Therapy Intensive training. I am a certified sex therapist with the Association of Sex Therapy in Ontario (ASTO). I have completed my second Narrative Therapy Intensive Summer Training course. I work with a clinical supervisor and engage in ongoing professional development meetings with a monthly peer consultation group. I attend various trainings and keep up to date with reading relevant journal articles and books.
